The control of color even illumination and color temperature are central factors in photography of paintings. The basic photography gear is usually sufficient for good results, with raw editing capabilities and software for geometry correction.

For exhibition previewing and documentation 360-interior images give a great sense of immersion. The technique is standard method for creation of virtual exhibitions. Here is an example of simplistic virtual tour of Aulis Jalkanen exhibition at KellariKalleria 2022. People can be masked away if needed and guided tours with high resolution images can be made efficiently with commercial applications.
